Nicolas Debray

This initiative is lead by Nicolas Debray. Nicolas started his digital career at Google Belgium back in 2007! Quickly he seized the opportunity to become himself an entrepreneur and launched Semetis with his business partner, Gabriel Goldberg.They grew Semetis to a market leader in Digital Marketing in Belgium. From 2 to 50 people. From 0€ to more than 100M€ media managed for the largest companies in Belgium.

In 2015, Nicolas sold Semetis to Omnicom (NYSE: OMC) and integrated it till 2019.Since 2009, Nicolas has been active in the Education (ULB, Solvay) taking several roles in different education programs. In 2016, he joined the StartLab as an Entrepreneur in Residence.

Nicolas has invested in about 20 tech startups. He sits at the Board of Directors of many of them. He’s an active, non-executive, Business Angels.

On top of being vocal on LinkedIn, he has launched several initiatives to federate the Belgium Startup Ecosystem: the Speed Scaling, the Belgium Impact Startup Awards.

Now with the Belgium Startup Awards, he wants to bring all the stakeholders of the Belgian startup ecosystem together. His will is build bridges and to create value for the many!Yes, it’s possible!
